I have been up ever since my 3 a.m. post 4 hours ago, but I will be okay. This isn't about me, but it is about my sweet Katiebug, who unfortunately woke up crying in pain this morning. After last night's itchfest, I was afraid of that. I applied Vaseline (well, unscented petroleum jelly) all over her entire body, re-wrapped her arms in fresh gauze, and she has some relief now. She has gone back to sleep. I've only had about 2 hours of sleep but the girls & I are meeting my sister & her family at the zoo this morning, so I have brewed a large pot of coffee (which I don't usually drink) and am up for good now. Will definitely be going to bed early tonight though.
Please pray for Katie to have some relief & healing today & for her skin to be well enough to go into the water park at the zoo later today. She will be covered in Vaseline & hopefully sunscreen if I can find some that won't burn. She's willing to sit it out in the shade if she has to.
